Mission
The Evangelism Ministry Team exits to reach out and touch nonbelievers with the truth of Christ Jesus, so that they may be saved. We also strive to bring new believers into Higher Ground Ministries where they can be baptized into a new family and learn the new ways of the Lord; that they may be fully equipped to live out the lives God has planned for them.
Vision
> build a team of 10-15 seriously committed core members.
> harvest at least 10 new souls for the Kingdom of God, and make them part of the body of Christ with H.G.M.
> grow the prayer ministry in proportion with our growth in evangelism
> develop our own training program for evangelism team members and church members by offering free classes
and good testimonies.
> heighten the entire church's awareness for the need for all types of evangelism.
> develop evangelism materials (pamphlets, tracts etc..) specific to H.G.M.
> develop a more professional and attractive setup for events such as the Sidewalk Sale and Ferncole Fair.
Qualities we look for
> must have a passion for Jesus.
> must have been baptized by with the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues (Act 2:1-4).
> should be studying the Bible daily so that you can live by and share the Word (Psalm 68:11).
> should be bearing the fruit of the Spirit in your daily life (Galatians 5:22-25). You must also be living a life worthy of your calling (no smoking, drinking, etc...) (Ephesians 4:1).
> must be willing to set aside a portion of your daily prayer time to make intercession for souls and for asking the Lord to send workers to harvest these souls (Matthew 9:38).
> must be attending worship services, corporate prayer meetings and Bible studies on a regular basis (Acts 2:46-47, 5:42).
> must be praying for, submitting to, and speaking highly of spiritual elders at H.G.M. (I Peter 5:5).
> must be a team player, relying on others and being reliable (Romans 12:10-11).
> must strive to not only share the gospel with people but to share your life also. You should find ways to be a servant and show people the love of Jesus (I Thessalonians 2:8). |
