I Will Deliver Him and I will Set Him On HighThe promises in God's Word come to us, by knowing, believing, acting, and receiving them. Know it. Believe it. Act on it. Receive it. (I'm talking about the Word) God is offering things to you; but if you do not know that, you will never enter into them. You may have been taught the lies of satan. You may be in a vicious circle of hurt, harm and trouble and don't know how to get out. Without the knowledge of God, you will believe things you have been taught that God sometimes sends tragedy to teach you lessons. That is what makes you stronger. It may seem right to you. It may be what your mother believes, but it is not the truth. God does not resort to using the devil to cause His people to grow stronger. By tempting, testing, and trying them.
P{salm 91: gives us the answer. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. If you are believing the devil is doing God a service, you are opening the door for tragedy and you are literally inviting satan into your life. Satan does not work for God, he works against God. His purpose is to kill, to steal, and to destroy us. He is an enemy of God and man. Psalm continues to say; For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: and I will set him on high, because he hath known My name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.
